Polydioxanone (PDO) is a synthetic, absorbable surgical suture proven to be one of the safest materials to be implanted into the body. PDO threads are used in our office for minimally invasive thread lifts - no surgery required! The areas around your cheeks, jaw, neck, and eyes are among the most commonly treated areas.
WHAT TO EXPECT WITH A PDO THREAD LIFT PROCEDURE?
During a procedure for PDO threads, you will start by being numbed with an anesthetic. Then, a small hole will be created with a cannula needle, which will allow the thread to be inserted. When the thread reaches it's predetermined endpoint, the thread will be released and the cannula removed. The thread will then suspend in the skin and provide instant lifting results, while also stimulating collagen production. The PDO threads will dissolve naturally over the next few months, but results normally last approximately one to two years.
